This 20-minute consultation is a chance to explore fit—no pressure, no deep dive. Some anticipate that they will need to share everything about their situation or who they are, but these 20 minutes go fast, and we’ll have plenty of time to dive into the details later. Clients get the most out of their consultation when they focus on a few key things:

Noticing whether the conversation feels natural—or if you can see it developing that way over time. Do you feel understood, comfortable, emotionally met?

Getting a sense of whether I seem skilled—someone who could offer useful insight, support, or treatment

Starting to sense what you might want to work on, and how a path forward could take shape

Checking in with yourself: do you know what you need to ask to figure out if I’m the right therapist for you?
I know these calls can feel intimidating. Sharing with someone new is vulnerable, and it often takes more than 20 minutes to find a groove and feel a trusting connection. Rest assured, as I get to know you better, I’ll adjust to your energy and we’ll settle into a comfortable flow together.
